Product Description
The exceptional performance of the E3 spark plug starts with the unique open architecture of the E3 electrode. The design forces air gap discharges, creates the preferred edge-to-edge spark path, allows free replenishment of the spark zone with a fresh fuel/air charge, and exposes the flame front more directly to the piston head than other plug designs.Sparks naturally follow edge-paths as they leave an object. The E3 design presents multiple sharp edges to the center electrode. Sparks flow between these edges at lower voltages, facilitating easier discharge than standard designs. By forcing air sparks, the resistance to fouling is greatly increased in the E3 spark plug. This lowers the self-cleaning temperature of the spark plug, allowing colder heat ranges to be used if desired.E3's distinctive spark plug design has proven, in testing in a range of engines, to simultaneously increase engine power output, reduce gasoline consumption, decrease hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions from the engine and materially extend the life of the spark plug.| E3 Lawn & Garden and Small Engine spark plugs are a clear breakthrough in spark plug technology. Developed by researchers from leading engineering universities, E3's patented electrode design allows for a better spark, and resulting more complete flame kernal and flame front extending off the electrode, producing better overall localized pressure inside your small engine's cylinder(s). This in turn leads to the fuel/air mixture injected into the cylinder being more cleanly consumed, lessening the level of greenhouse gases emitted, increasing energy efficiency and generating more horsepower.
As the designated catalyst for the ignition of fuel in small engines, spark plugs are a small, but constant factor in the workings of the vast majority of lawn and garden tools utilizing such motors. What owners of these tools may not realize is that their choice of spark plug could play a significant role in reducing the level of greenhouse gases that their engines give off, as well as increasing their overall fuel economy and potential power output. This is where E3 Spark Plug's DiamondFire technology comes in. DiamondFire Technology First, the DiamondFire electrode directs the flame kernel to the piston more directly, reducing the travel time from the spark zone to the end gases via the open section at the top of the electrode. Given the short time available to get combustion started, the faster you can get the flame to the piston, the better. Second, the physical features of the electrode project further forward into the combustion chamber. This brings the spark zone closer to areas of probable "good" air/fuel mixture and also creates beneficial "micro-aerodynamics" within the spark zone. The initial combustion wave leaves the spark area at supersonic speeds above Mach 1, and the elevated edge provides a kind of chimney effect so the next round of air/fuel mixture gets into the spark zone more easily. Finally, the E3 electrode design features forced edge-to-edge spark discharge, which is the best way to get a spark to leave a surface. This improves upon the phenomena that drove race car drivers to "cut back" ordinary electrode spark plugs in order to improve the spark discharge. The spark itself occurs only when an avalanche of electrons migrates from the two electrodes (anode to cathode). Sharp edges are better at initiating electron migrations, and these accelerated electrons collide with matter inside the spark zone to release additional electrons. This design ensures that the whole population of electrons works to create a plasma channel through which the spark current flows more easily, resulting in an increase in both power output and fuel economy, while reducing emissions in gasoline engines and the build up of carbon deposits on engine surfaces. What You Need To Do To Get That Lawn Mower Ready To Cut Grass
Eddie says that if you want that lawn mower or garden tiller to perform for you this spring there are several things that need to be done. In this post we will address the fuel tank.
The very first thing that needs to be done with your riding mower or other equipment that has a separate fuel tank from the carburetor, is to go to any automotive or parts center and pick up an in line fuel shut off valve. These valves are small and very in expensive and can and will save you lots of money as well as quicker start up time in the spring for any of your lawn or garden equipment. There are times that your carburetor may become gummy and if so, if you do not a fuel line shut off in line it can let your fuel free flow into the engine and can cause serious damage if not noticed as well as maybe personal injury.  If the equipment is not in use , you can shut off the fuel to the engine to keep this from happening as well as being able to shut off fuel in the fall after last use, to let the fuel burn out of the carburetor to keep it from becoming gummed up while sitting over the winter months.
Open the fuel tank and visually check for fuel or to see if there may be water, from condensation from heating and cooling, that might have formed in the fuel tank. You can use a flashlight to look in the tank. If there is water there you will be able to see if in the form of a bubble or bubbles at the bottom of the tank. If its just a few small bubbles , you can still use as they will disperse during use, but if it has a large amount it must be drained.
This can be done by removing the fuel line from the carburetor, be sure to pinch the line closed with some pliers or vice grips before removing the line. Once this is done remove the line from the carburetor by removing the clamp on the line where it attaches, then gently pulling the line away and draining into a large enough glass container to hold the fuel that is being removed. You use a glass container for the purpose of being able to see the water,or trash in the fuel, so as to be able to pour back into you fuel container and see that you do not pour the water or trash back in the fuel container. While you have your line removed from the carburetor, this is the perfect time to install the fuel shut off , in the line where it can be easily accessed to shut off the fuel when needed. Each time that you use this equipment, before you stop the engine, turn off the fuel flow and let the engine run to burn the fuel that is left in the carburetor. The reason for this is to remove the fuel so that if the equipment is sitting for a long period of time , to keep the fuel from gelling or evaporating leaving deposits in the carburetor that may cause the fuel to not flow properly , when you are ready to use the next time. Install the shut off valve, reconnect the fuel line, pour in small amount of gas, into tank, turn the valve on, to check for leaks.
